SPOTIFY HAS BEEN given the “all clear” after the music streaming giant was hit by technical outages earlier this afternoon.
Account holders were unable to use their apps or listen to music due to the outages as the company worked to resolve the issues quickly.
In a post to X this afternoon, the company confirmed that Spotify is experiencing some service outages and quashed rumours that the platform has been the target of a security hack.
It later confirmed that the issues have since been resolved. It directed customers who may be still experiencing problems to its support service.

Spotify reported its first-ever annual profit in February, turning over a net profit of €1.1bn for 2024. The increase was attributed to an unexpected growth in users in the fourth quarter of last year, reaching 675m accounts.
